Dear Carson: When a woman gets married and takes her husband's surname, does her maiden name become her middle name or does she use her given middle name? For instance, Jill Jane Smith marries John Doe. Does her name then become Jill Jane Doe or Jill Smith Doe? - Name Change Dilemma
